Freeze Dried Exchange Privacy Policy

This page explains what information the site collects, who else receives it, and how to ask us to remove it. We don't sell your information, and the site uses no advertising trackers or Google Analytics.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address and a password. Passwords are stored in scrambled (hashed) form, so we can't read them. We also keep your plan (Free, Base or Pro), your team, and when the account was created or changed. Sign-in cookies keep you logged in.
- Ask AI. Each question you ask is saved to your account with the AI's answer and the time. Your own tags are saved too. The food you pick is sent to the AI to shape the answer but isn't saved on its own. On the Free plan, only your 5 newest questions are shown, but older ones stay in our database and are not shown. Questions asked while on a Pro team are shared with all teammates.
- Community Chat. Threads and replies (title, text, tags, date and author) are public, including to signed-out visitors. Your posts show as a member name. Your email is never shown. If an account is deleted, its posts stay up under the label "Deleted member." We also keep records of who reported which post.
- Contact form. Your name (optional), email, topic, subject and message, plus a company name if the topic is about a manufacturer. To limit spam we store a scrambled version of your internet address, not the address itself, so we can allow 3 messages per hour from one visitor. Messages are saved in our database and emailed to us, and you get an automatic reply. We keep them as long as needed to respond and delete them on request.
- Teams. The email address of anyone invited to a team and who invited them. Invites expire after 7 days, but the record is kept. Teammates can see each other's email addresses.
- Payments. Checkout happens on Stripe's own page. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription IDs and the plan you chose.
- Link clicks. Clicks on Manufacturer and Design & Packaging links are counted per link. We don't record who clicked.
- Visit counts. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is anonymous and uses no cookies.
- Server logs. Error logs can include user IDs or Stripe customer IDs, and our hosting provider keeps its own request logs, which include internet addresses.

How to delete your information. Email us through the contact page from the address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We will remove your account details, your saved questions and your team membership. Community posts you wrote stay visible as “Deleted member.” Ask us to remove a specific post if you want it taken down. Some records, like payment records, may need to be kept longer for tax or legal reasons.
Children. The site is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes. If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top.
